Methods to shift your enterprise.TM
Resources

The resources we bring to a project are primarily two. The first and most important is the experienced software developer. The second is the array of tools and techniques. Please see our Development section for a summary of our experience and techniques. Here we present some of the primary tools we use, providing competitive advantage to our team initiatives.

DomainMETHOD

Our DomainMETHOD technology is a domain-specific language (DSL) and language source code translator that facilitates the rapid development of an enterprise application's domain layer. We use DomainMETHOD as a competitive advantage to greatly decrease development effort and time to delivery, which greatly mitigates the risk in starting a new custom application development effort. DomainMETHOD supports domain-driven design and development, generating code against the core patterns defined by domain-driven design experts such as Eric Evans.

Please read our DomainMETHOD technology overview for more details.

Open Source

ShiftMETHOD makes appropriate use of open source products and is committed to the open source process. The following is a list of a few of the open source products, including platforms and tools, that we have used successfully:

  • JBoss Application Server
  • Hibernate
  • Spring Framework, Spring WebFlow
  • MySQL
  • Apache ActiveMQ, HTTP Server, Pluto, Struts, Tomcat
  • Apache Ant, Cactus, Commons, JMeter, Logging, Xalan, Xerces
  • Ruby on Rails
